Recipe with the Sous Chef…. Mouth Watering Ribs

Its been a while since I have posted a recipe. With the warm weather coming to an end, only a few weekends left to fire up the grill.

This is what me and the sous chef will be doing on Saturday

Rib Recipe:

Ingredients: Feel free to adjust to your liking
-2 Tablespoons Light Brown Sugar
-1 Tablespoon of Dry Mustard
-1 Tablespoon of Paprike
-1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
-1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
-2 Racks Baby Back Pork Ribs
-BBQ Sauce (recipe/ingredients below)

1.) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

2.) Mix together the brown sugar, mustard, paprika, black pepper, and garlic salt together in bowl.

3.) Remove the silver skin from underside of the ribs. Rub the ribs with the dry rub seasoning on both sides.

4.) Place Ribs in roasting pan(s) and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes

5.) Preheat the grill to medium heat (350 degrees-375 degrees – I keep it closer to 350)

6.) Grill the ribs directly on the heat 7-8 minutes. Flip and grill the ribs directly 7-8 minutes

7.) Grill the ribs on indirect heat 7-8 minutes. Flip and grill the ribs indirectly for 7-8 minutes

(I grill one side directly then go indirect/ flip and do the same)

8.) The total time grilling the ribs is 28-30 minutes. For the last 5-10 minutes put your BBQ sauce on (recipe below)

9.) Remove from grill and let sit for 5 minutes before cutting. Feel free to add additional dry rub or extra bbq sauce

BBQ Sauce Recipe

– 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
– 1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
– 1 Teaspoon Table Salt
– 2 Cups Ketchup
– 1/2 Cup Yellow Mustard
– 1/2 Cup Cider Vinegar
– 1/3 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
– 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
– 1/4 Cup to 3/4 Cup Honey (depending if you prefer sweet or more tart sauce. For sweeter add more honey)
– 1 Teaspoon of Hot Sauce
– 1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
– 3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
– 1 Tablespoon Minced Onion
– 1 Tablespoon Onion Salt
– 2 Tablespoons Garlic Salt
– 2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
I also add a little bit of store bought BBQ Sauce to make it a little sweeter

1.) Mix it all together. Taste. Add additional Vinegar if you want more tart. Add additional honey or store BBQ sauce to make sweeter. Add additional hot sauce if you want spicier.
