Football Friday College Football

Its been a long time since we have had a weekend of college football as good as this. Six games between two ranked teams! Should be a wild Saturday. Perfect timing for a day like this with the leaves changing and the fall air…..

27-7 Straight Up Predicting on the year
16-18-1 Leans on the year

Texas A&M @ Mississippi State 12:00 ESPN
Miss St -2 Over/Under 68
My Prediction
Texas A&M 34 Miss St 31
Lean A&M +2
What Will Happen
This may turn out to be the best game of the day. This should be a shootout with both teams punching each other. Miss St believes after a big win in Death Valley. Should they get by this game they could very well be 8-0 heading into a Showdown with Alabama. Dak Prescott is a very good quarterback for the Bulldogs and they will try and control the time of possession to keep the Aggie offense off the field. They will be able to do so for most of the game. However, the Aggies have a playmaker at quarterback of their own in Kenny Hill. The explosiveness will be to much and Hill will deliver the knockout blow.

Alabama @ Ole Miss 3:30 CBS
Alabama -6.5 Over/Under 51
My Prediction
Alabama 34 Ole Miss 22
Lean Bama -6.5
What Will Happen
Ole Miss will come out with a ton of energy, feeding off the crowd. This will be the biggest game in Oxford in quite some time. Ole Miss will make some plays on the Bama secondary. However, Ole Miss qb Bo Wallace will make some mistakes and Bama and Blake Sims will take advantage. Blake Sims will have success throwing the ball and Bama will be able to impose their will running the ball. Bama is to balanced and will cause turnovers.

Oklahoma @ TCU 3:30 FOX
Oklahoma -5 Over/Under 56.5
My Prediction
Oklahoma 24 TCU 19
Lean under 56.5
What Will Happen
Four of the last Five in this matchup have been decided by a td or less. OU has the Red River Shootout next week vs Texas. I don’t think this will be a look ahead but it will be in the back of the minds. TCU always has a good defense and that will keep them in this game. OU is to balanced and to good for TCU to completely shut them down. If TCU gets anything from their offense they can pull this upset but I don’t see it happening.

Stanford @ Notre Dame 3:30 NBC
Stanford -2 Over/Under 44.5
My prediction
Notre Dame 23 Stanford 21
Lean ND +2
What Will Happen
The better team is favored in a matchup of 2 similar styles. Both teams have good quarterbacks and great coaches. I am always impressed every time I watch Stanford. We will get to see how good the Irish are. I believe they looked ahead last week against Syracuse to the date with the Trees. This will be the best defense the Irish will have faced and maybe will face all year. I don’t think Notre Dame rush game will do Golson any favors. ND has done a great job getting off the field on third down. This game is about as even as it gets. I have to take the home team and the team with the better special teams.

LSU @ Auburn 7:00 ESPN
Auburn -8 Over/Under 56
My prediction
Auburn 31 LSU 20
Lean Auburn -8
What Will Happen
LSU is starting Brandon Harris at qb for his first collegiate start. This is a tall task going into Auburn. Auburns strength is running the football. LSU has struggled against the run vs Wisconsin and most recently Miss St. I think Auburn is one of if not the best in the country. They will continue to impress

Nebraska @ Michigan St 8:00 ABC
Mich St -7 Over/Under 59.5
My prediction
Michigan St 31 Nebraska 17
Lean Sparty -7
What Will Happen
I think Sparty is still one of the better teams in the country. The loss by Oregon last night did not do them any favors. However, they have one of the best rush defenses in the country. Nebraska will try and run it and wont be able to. It will force the Huskers to throw the ball and they will be to predictable behind the chains. Connor Cook and the Sparty run game will be efficient and will take care of this Husker team.
