In the next few days, I will be posting my preview/prediction for each division around the NFL. With Green Bay playing at Seattle, I will start with those 2 divisions
NFC West (in order of finish)
Seattle (win total 11.5)
Tough schedule to start the season with the first 3 games vs Green Bay , @ San Diego, vs Denver. The schedule does lighten following the start. I think Vegas has set a good total at 11.5. This team should repeat as the West champs. I do have concerns about some of the stuff that has been published about Russell Wilson and I dont think Marshawn Lynch will have as good of year. The other concern can come if the refs continue to call as tightly as the pre season was called. This rule seems to have been put in place specifically for the Seahawk secondary. They should still win 11-12 games.
San Francisco (win total 10.5)
What a disastrous couple of months starting with the Navarro Bowman injury. Rumors swirled about Jim Harbaugh leaving town. And the latest the suspension to Aldon Smith and most likely Ray McDonald. This team has made deep playoff runs the past 3 years in a very physical division. I see this team taking a step back. The schedule is not overly difficult which plays in their favor and should aid in still getting to 9 maybe 10 wins.
St Louis Rams (win total 6.5)
In what many thought would be a season in which they took the next step, they were dealt a blow when Sam Bradford’s paper leg was injured again. In will step Shaun Hill. While I am not in love with Shaun Hill, I do not see this as a major downgrade from Bradford. The team still has some playmakers on offense. And the defensive line should be one of the best in the league. I think the Rams flirt with .500
Arizona Cardinals (win total 7.5)
This is many people’s darling pick after finishing last year 10-6 and missing the playoffs. However, they have had to face some injuries to the defense already and news flash to all- the quarterback is still Carson Palmer. They play in a tough division, play the AFC West this year, and have games against Detroit, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. This win total looks like under to me.
